Serious Moonlight :
Night photography in the Mojave desert

For a few nights each month, the full moon in the Mojave desert is bright enough to read a newspaper by. The moon licks the desert with its silvery tongue and the rocks seem to come alive, the plants move and dance in the shadows. I love tramping through the desert on these nights, the gravel crunching underfoot, a tripod on my shoulder and a bag of lenses on my back. These photos are taken with a medium format camera using only moonlight in long exposures. They are incredibly sharp and detailed, even up to a meter wide. Enquire about framed prints.
